Diane Gowland, whose background is in advertising and consulting, is a non-executive director of Racenews and worked for the company as a consultant from 1990-1997.

She is currently the executive director of the Research and Development unit at Newham College in the East End of London, managing funding and projects that contribute towards the regeneration agenda of the Thames Gateway area.
